i'd like to know if i could remove my ignition switch. What would I have to do. I'd like to put some new pro taper handlebars on my bike , but I dont like that big ol' switch hanging on the front. The ignition switch on that is just a kill switch. There are 2 wires that go to it that you'll unplug. I took the light and ignition switch off of mine, and there was nothing to it. I just wrapped the wire ends back into the harness after taping the ends. Then of course I just use the handlebar kill switch for off/on. It cleans up the looks a lot.

 

Shady, Thanks for that info. I have been wanting to get a set of Pro Taper handle bars for my quad and didnt think that big ole key switch would look to hot. Reduction theory. Start at the urgently needed big bore kit, then settle back to "Okay, then just some handlebars or something."
