ok first the stump pulling, the stump was about 1-1-2 side to side. and it was burried in mud dirt. and rock debris from construction. it took some patience, and power but i got it and dragged it away. it probley only weighted 300lbs or so, but the things it was in made it difficult to pull. and yes i still have a polaris 500 h.o. many belts and hubs later.

HEY sp600 read around and in the worst reck, search for that. i have towed the 500 sp through rack deep frozen mud and water, becuase the motor was frozen, due to sinking it.

rob and the porsche thing: the steering rack to steer the car was broken, hence cannot be steered. and the car was parked in frount of garage, so i needed to move it sideways. so i hooked a tow strap up, and low 4x4 i pulled it on pavement. even i was amazed. i thought i would need the sportsman as well.

sp600: i do not bash polaris, i never even post there. to tell you the truth i jyst feel more at home on my vinson.

:the dyno thing, they have year round they do it at their bike runs. not everbody wants to dyno their bikes, most people are just there to buy apparel, parts ect. because they have a 20% off sale then, so it kinda makes sense.

sorry about not keeping it clean. i will not say anything like that again

the surface area. is easy, for exampe. look at how much or measure the tire at one point touches the ground. on my 26" tires i get about 5-6inches touching at all times + the 12"width. now stock tires do not have nearly that amount. being the rear tire is not even 10" wide.

and power to weight ratio can be used here. another example is ok i have a 600lb bike with a 500cc motor(497 actualy) but and then divide. 500/600 which equals about 0.83 cc per lb. now on a king quad do 300cc/600 and you get 0.5 cc per lb on the quad. the vinson out powers the kq by about 0.30 cc per lb. thats how i figure how much power it has

well we could get Vinsonman03manual to explain this:

the tires spin more, thus "pulling" or driving the weight better if this makes sense.... my
King Quad would just spin the tires at a slower RPM in 4wheel low, diff. lock.

I mean to me spinning tires means loss of traction. In mud the tires may dig (be it a little faster) if they're spinning faster but that's about it.

Any physics experts want to try this one?

He didn't upset me. I just think it's funny how you guys rag on Polaris so much. Polaris has had problems just like every other manufacturer, and they make a heck of a good quad, some of the best sellers mind you.

In fact, there are a whole lot of tech and fix-it questions being asked in these forums about other non-Polaris quads.

And why do you bash Polaris so much? Is it:
A) You've been pulled out by too many to count, and it makes you mad?
B) You can't follow them through the mud, and it makes you mad?
C) You can't keep up with them on the trail, and it makes you mad?
D) You have got beaten by so many, and that makes you mad?
E) You're just an unhappy person and it makes you feel better to bash other people's quads?
F) All the Above

I think probably F

BTW, you don't have a quad listed. Wonder why?
i couldnt agree with you more. finally someone seems to understand, i gotta tell this to my polaris bashing buddies. lol

Actually some don't even apply. Being a little than some here (43) I'm maybe a bit smarter.

A - no need, I have a winch that can be on the front or back, also smart enough to stay away from the nasty stuff. Why tear up a quad that I paid for in full (IE no freebee or a Christmas present from Mom and Dad).
B - See A
C - Well er don't race through the trails, plus we space out or ride side by side to avoid eating ones dust or mud. Also keeps the clothes clean.
D - To be beaten one must be in a race. You'd be surprised how many races I've "lost" becuase I wasn't racing. BTW my KQ isn't a race bike. Neither are a lot of other quads that are ridden that way. You "utility" atv owners should just get a Z or Raptor. Seems smarter.
E - I'm quiet happy, I don't exagerate(sp?) what my quad can or can't do. Likes and dislikes are based on personal experiences.
F - See above.

BTW my quad is listed now. You can even go see some pictures of it.
