I have the Vinson auto and when you punch it? you feel like your gonna fall off. i said on other topics that i cant imagine needing more power than the Vinson auto has, there comes a point when bigger just isnt better. They just become fat and heavy and no longer sporty. depends on what you want out of a atv i guess.

 

kodiac 1 i know the prairie will smoke a vinny but you'll also smoke every other open class utility. I can beat a grizz, tag a sportsman 700. The vinny will beat any of them through the woods because its reflexes are much better and quicker. When i bought my vinson i test rode just about every thing out there and most of the machines were freinds or something so i could take them for a real ride not just in the parking lot. I had the money to buy a biger machine but i just liked the vinny better so thats what i got. The shifter was fixed for 03 by the way.

 

I never said it was all about speed.I simply pointed out that for just a little more money you can just get the big bore and be done with it.It's also about locking diff's,sealed rear brakes and so on.It's also about a twin being smoother that a large single...( see broken motor mounts)Unlike most people in this forum I don't have blind faith to any brand,I have had all fou r(that count)and get what I thibnk is the best at the time.As far as the grizz goes I bet you can beat it.That thing IMO corners like crap.But that may not be the reason someone bought it.maybe a better ride.or maybe ground clearance???It's like saying a n escort will do what a corvette does.but it sure is more fun getting there or doing it in a vette!You can't post anything in here without someone getting excited about thinking you are bashing THEIR brand.Like I said...I almost bought one!I do feel like the KAW is in another league when it comes to cornering than the IRS atv'sIt's whatever works for your style.
