Nice Color Bing , is this the one you got for free if I remember?

Yeah If I get a 92 It will be PV anyway

Btw, is there a great performance difference between the 5 speed non pv engine and the 6 speed PV engine.

I know what a PV is all about (in fact), but when you're on the quad, what is the difference.

And last question, is the LT revving like a banshee? You know, you're off powerband and it's slower than my 300ex and when it engage, you arms want to disconnect

I would recomend that you buy a 87-92 LT250 and then re-think whether you really want the 250R for 2-3 times the $s.

I'm gonna get a quadracer, then sell it to get the honda later this year when I have more cash.

I don't think I can ever trust Suzuki after what my quadsport has done to me

Maybe, I'm gonna love the power too much and keep it thought

Unless you bought you Quadsport new and had a lot of problems right away, its reliability has nothing to do with any other quad. My LT230 Quadsport ran great for 2 years then the whole quad went to hell, half the quad gave out at right about the same time. That has nothing to do with what company built the quad, it was because it was 16 years old when I got it.

If you get a late model LT and then a R you will be sad when you realize you’ve spent a ton more money on a slower quad that has at best slightly better handling than a stock LT.

You've got a good point Tom. I bought that quadsport back in september 2002 at the age of 14 so the quad was older that me

I also forgot to tell you that this quad came short on oil. I've just heard so many horror stories about Suzuki around here.

I just want to pay 0-1500$ for a quadracer. I know it won't be as mint as a 4000$ 250R. I just want to buy this quad because it is as fast as a 250r for 3 times less money.

And tom, you've got 3 LT so could you please answer the questions I asked Bing?

Thanks

You sure aren’t very patient. Especially considering that you are asking questions on a Saturday afternoon on a ATV forum.

I’m not the best person to answer those questions but Ill give the info I have.

Yeah If I get a 92 It will be PV anyway
87-92 Quadracers are all powervalved motors 85-86 are not.

Btw, is there a great performance difference between the 5 speed non pv engine and the 6 speed PV engine.
I can’t give a very good answer to that because my 91 Quadracer has more mods than my 86 most of which were there when I got it. As it is my 91 Quadracer is way faster.

I know what a PV is all about (in fact), but when you're on the quad, what is the difference.
I can’t give a good answer to that for the same reason. My 91 Quadracer is far faster than the 86 but I don’t know how much of the extra performance is due to mods and how much if any is due to the powervalve. The powervalve is supposed to make the powerband wider and the 91 does have a wider powerband than the 86.

And last question, is the LT revving like a banshee? You know, you're off powerband and it's slower than my 300ex and when it engage, you arms want to disconnect
Same problem applies to this one but again I will answer based on my Quads performance as they are. The 86 has a broader powerband than the Banshee by far but is rather slow reving because it has only 5 gears and the ratios are therefore farther apart. The 91 is quick reving like a Banshee but it comes on real low and keeps screaming all the way through the RPMs.

to anwser your question there is a lot of difference between a PV and a regular cylinder. a PV produces a bunch more power and they have a tuned exhaust chamber i'm pretty sure of. and a 6 speed transmission gives you the ability of an extra gear and is faster than the 5 speed quadracers. i have a 87 LT250R that has the PV with a 6 speed and to be honest with you i think it runs just as great as my 86 TRX250R with the 310cc cylinder. in my opinion i feel more comfortable on the LT and the way it feels. and yes the 250R's whether it be the LT or TRX they do rev easily, but on my LT the engine timing is off or it needs rejetted so the band doesn't kick in until 3rd, but when you get it warmed up there is no problem waiting for the band to kick in, all i have to do is punch the throttle and it wants to take off, it does also depend if you clean you plugs in it occasionally, because the LT's aren't like 4 strokes that you can run the plug for a while before cleaning it unless you have a lot of experience on a 2 stroke. the 2 strokes tend to foul plugs easier unless you keep on the throttle and give it hell.
