I had an 86 230 Quadsport and thought it was ahead of it's time. I'm thinking of getting a Z250 for my son to graduate from his LT 80. I know the Z is based on the Ozark, but with different shock. I rode one an Ozark and wasn't impressed with the ride. I'm hoping the Z rides more like the Quadsport than the Ozark. Does it?

 

the z250 would be a great bike for your kid.... A buddy of mine and myself have done a lot of research for him. he is wanting to get one for his daughter.. He has decided on the honda 250ex. I believe it is a better bike in this class. This is not to say the z250 is bad...jmo

 

yea i z250 rides better than your q-sport, i have one, and want a better ride, thankfully works makes every type of shock immaginable for the 230. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

the 250ex is not as sporty as the Z. its a honda, more low end and less top end I have found. My buddy has a recon which is almost the same engine as the 250ex. The engine is unstopable and easy to use but really doesnt have anything once you get to the higher end of the gear. its all grunt power. maybe the 250ex has changed from the recon but they are the same base engine. Ihave read in dirtwheels that in the shootout between the two and i thought the Z250 performed better.
