Ltz problems
#1
Has anyone had problems with there ltz 400? In october I had my axle and everything that had to deal with the valve train. Now today I just took it back to the dealer for the same problems. The axle bent for the second time, they replaced I once allready. It's not bent bad, just enough to see it when I turn the axle by hand. Then they replace the cams, cam chain, gears, slides, and everything else that has to deal with the timing. Has anyone had problems like this?

I heard about the axle before too, but suzuki said they had fixed the problem. As for the valvetrain problems, it has something to do with chain guides. Where tensioner hits the guide, this is where it makes a dent in the guide. When this happens, the tensioner is all the way extended. The chain is then loose. It has happened to about 6 z400s by us.

This has happen to my brothers Z. There is not enough tension on the cam glides and the cam adjuster is all the way out. The machanic just got back from a Suzuki tech meeting, and for now they say weld a bead at the end of the cam adjuster. They did this to my brothers Z and the noise went away. But this just seems like a bandade on a bigger problem. It also cost him $180 to have this done. Sounds like this is a bigger problem then Suzuki is admitting.
