I was wandering what you guys think about a 1987 230 Quad Sport with some 1988 parts on it and what do you guys think it worth. Its not perfect but in pretty good shape?

 

THEY DONT LAST and they dont handle very good stay away buy a honda polaris or yam NOT SUZUKI!

 

I have a 1988 230 Quadsport. They do have a slight handleing problem. They do turn sharper than a 300EX. They have OK power but a pipe and filter would help. They don't go very good in snow. I think the price should be from about $1,100 to $1,500 for one in good condition. Also watch the chain adjustment if you let it get to loose then the chain WILL come off and crack the side case (a new side case is about $80). Also watch the swingarm bearing for the same reason.

My brother has a 87 quadsport with dg exhaust
k&n filter,razr rear tires and it can beat an 250x and 300ex and almost a 250r 3-wheeler
in a drag race.

 

i dont know what you are talking about because i can blow away a 230 qs with my 250x and i weigh about 75 lbs more than my friend with a 230 heap of junk

 

I dont know much about the 250x but I know it could not beat a 300ex and would never come even close to a 250r 3-wheeler. My old 87 LT230 was a big slow piece of junk. I couldnt even jump it because the chain would come off every time.

 

my friend went thruogh 6 mag covers because of the chain comming off at 85 bucks a peice and my 250x can beat a 300ex

 

I couldn't beleive it but he did almost beat a 250r three wheeler but he did beat a stock 250x and a 300ex true story he just knows how to ride it.The 250x is faster than a 300ex.
