does any one know if the quadzilla was the fastest stock quad. and how fast have you gone with yours?

 

as far as i know it is the fastest stock quad ever but some of the 3-wheelers were close my stock 1990 lt500 ran 86mph on radar with 18" ice tires

 

They're pretty fast until they inevitably blow up! Traded in mine for a Banshee, and it was the best thing I ever did. LT500's are a POS as far as I'm concerned. No wonder they dropped it so quickly.

 

the lt 500r was the baddest thing on 4 wheels, so what if it blew up, its a 500 cc 2 stroke! with a stock pipe it went 78, but with a new pipe, it would go considerably faster.

 

the reason they blow up is becuse the rod is so long and puts a lot of force on the main bearings causing them wear out the center casings.So even if U do rebiuld the topend and put new mains and seals in there it will most likely blow up again!!!!!My dad has a moded 87 zilla.Which not only has the previos problem the head designs were bad to!!!!.His blew up while racing a LRD370R banshee.Here are the following mods.I have rode it before and let me tell U there is no comparison as far as power for not being a complete after market motor.It is for sale.Tritnity has fixes for both these probs.
