The man at the shop where i got carb work done on my lt 230 is 6 foot 250-275 pounds and can kick it with out the compression realase and start it on the 1st or 2nd kick but since i weigh 120 its hard for me to kick it with any power and when i use the compression realese it wont start for me or him Any ideas?

hmm i dont know i had one and never used the comp release but im 230 po

 

never used the comp lever and im 120 too

 

I hope your not holding the compression relese down when you go to kick it over......just push it down, then let go, it'll stay down, then kick. and it should start

 

iam 5 11 190 can kick my to 1 to 2 kicks

 

I'm about 240 and could start mine without it but I did have it working for a while. I held it down while I kicked it over, it started fine and took a lot less effort. I found that it was also a lot easier to start if I put my left knee on the seat and kicked it straight down instead of standing on the footpegs and trying to kick it like you normally would on most quads.

 

man its 80 degrees now here and i can now kick and start it with the decompression lever I LOVE WARM WEATHER

 

when i was in 3rd grade i could just start my uncles lt230...i weighed maybe 80-90?...now i weigh 140 and i can start it easy...just stand on it and kick...
