Has anyone had any luck getting rid of the linkage 'system' for shifting on the 86 230s. I have heard that a lever from an RM250 works, but have not tried it yet. Any ideas?

My linkage is too lose for me. I wish I could find something to replace it. Hope someone out there knows of a solution. There is too much play in the shifter for me. Mark in N.C.

When I had my 230 the Suzuki shop sold me a shifter for a dirtbike that fit on the shaft directly out of the case. I worked great all I can remember is that it was pretty short about 4" long and had a folding end and it was made by Emgo. I could have been for an RM too.
