I just bought a 230 for my wife to ride ,the problem is it makes a knocking in the motor,thought it was piston slap,pulled it down ,piston looked good,rod was a little loose,any thoughts on this,she wants to ride it soon,also does any one have a parts manual cuz I need the part # for the rod (can get one cheap now,I dont have a manual yet but getting one) im good with motors but just need a little information ,any help would help,

prrlly just needs a valve adjustment. Buy a clymer manual!!!

 

It probably needs a rod and bearings. High mile 230's tend to get loose in the rob bearings before anything else lets go. If you can justify the extra $$$ buy a factory manual, way better than Clymer.
