Zilla carb Question
#3
Hi Duneaddict, Thanks for responding. Did you do the bore yourself? Or did you buy it like that. Right now i have a 88-90 stock carb on mine That has been bored out to a 41.5. I have heard great things about the PWK carb.

I've got the 39 PWK on mine right now. It works great to "play" with. I'll putt-putt all day long. But addict is right, if you want real hp, bigger is better. Esp on a big single. I'm having mine taper bored to 41.5. Just my .02

Zig, I did not bore the carb... paid extra for the mfg to do it (they do a really nice job)
The stock mikuni isn't a bad carb... and one bored makes them even better... You might want to measure yours though...
I kinda doubt that a 38mm would bore all the way to 41.5mm (Can't bore bigger than the slider)
The PWK is a great carb... easy to jet/tune with great throttle response.
