I never said that a 400z (stock) would beat a pred....I race with both bikes and none are stock, but the pred has more problems than the 400 z!

 

yes, that is true, like the new brakes i have to get this weekend because of the recall they just had

 

fidge, with a couple of expensive mods the z400 can really wake up. you also never really know whos riding the pred. i could beat a pred with my z if there was a worthless rider on 1. well back to the topic... ive had my z for about a year now and still running strong. they were known to have frame problems in earlier models but they ahve been changed in late o3's and 04's. its a great bike overall.

 

the 04 preds seem to be pretty much bug free.. If you do have a problem polaris will back their quads 100% with no problems unlike other companies...

 

my buddy is sending his fly wheel to rath racing to get shaved down...does anyone know if this makes a difference? Do you know anyone who has done this? He owns a 03 pred. (peice)

i have had no problems at all with my 03 pred and i pound it hard drag racing

 

Alkypred... did the 13 tooth make much of a difference....do you get a better hole shot...

 

yes it makes a big difference but now that i make quite a bit more power i am going to try the 14 tomorrow if you want holeshots and 2nd gear starts go with the 13/38 gears. about 3/4 ways through im tapped out that is why im going back to the 14 and plus i cant keep the front end down i start in second and i am using itp sandstars as well
