Default Eiger tune up?

I have recently went over the 100 mile mark. I have noticed the valves pecking quite a bit especially in 5th gear.
Should I have the service done now or wait a little longer? I have heard different opinions about waiting until 500
or 600 miles before taking it in. I definately don't want to damage it in any way. Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure since I haven't really had a four-stroke for any reasonable amount of time, but I would say to give the shop a call and tell them what is happening and see if it is normal or not. Four-strokes are know to be super reliable and you should be able to ride that thing for 3-5 years before you touch the inside of the motor, depending on how you ride it. Good luck.

The valves are pretty easy to adjust but with only 100 miles yer dealer should help you out.

The recomended tune up is at 100 miles. Yes the valves do tap, and go ahead and have the dealer due the 100 mile check. the check all the fasteners and such also, change the oil and filter etc. Mine cost $100. up here in Alaska. Price might vary from $120 down I would expect.

The 100 mile checkup is a good idea. The dealer should go over the entire machine and valve adjustment should be part of that. Before going to the dealer call and order a service manual so it is there when you pick up the quad.
