Default Suzuki Ozark choke position

Help!!!
My daughter has an ozark and she is having trouble with the plug fouling. I think she is not using the choke correctly what position is on? We misplaced the owners manual. I know there is an arrow pointing down but is that for on or off. Also any other reasons the plug would be fouling? The machine is about 2 months old.

Yep, down is on. And it should be noticable, itll run crappy when warm, at idle or may even die. Next time its warmed up, try putting it down and see how it acts.
its really an enrichener, and not actually a choke. The lever just operates a plunger in the carb. it either covers a starter passage or blocks it. But you get full flow of air, all the time. Check the air filter for being dirty or over oiled. It she does alot of slow speed driving and its still fouling plugs, adjust the mixture screw, leaner, or go to a hotter plug.
If the gas is 2 months old, and didnt have stabil added, when it was fresh, that could foul plugs too. Those Ozarks can go along time between fill ups, and the gas has a bout a 2 month shelf life. If shes not going thru much gas, dont fill the tank, just give her enough to get thru a month, at a time.

Default Oxark 250 Choke/starter enrichment enricher cable

Our 2002 ozark 250 runs great but wont start cold,,, the enricher cable doesnt do anything anymore to help cold start. Its like it doest go to full on position. I can take the air filter off and cover the intake with my hamd and it fires right up. There is nothing even mentioned in my shop repair manual on hoe the enricher works.... Any thoughts?

I haven’t worked on the Ozark carb but it looks similar to the Eiger and Honda 350. The cable can seize and so can the plunger inside the carb. At the carb, unscrew the hexagonal cap where the choke cable goes into the carb, if the plunger comes out with the cap it is OK, try moving the handlebar lever and check if the plunger is moving freely at the other end of the cable. If everything is working OK, clean the carb out and put plenty of oil on the spring and plunger when you put it back.
A stuck plunger is a pain to get out and I have had the part that the nipple fits in break off when removing it, you can then drill into the centre of the plunger, far enough to screw in a self tapping screw to pull with, even then I have sometimes had to gently warm the carb body to get the plunger to free off.

You have posted this below a still picture of exactly where the cable (shown in the guy's fingers) goes. That black plastic nut on the cable screws into the hole you can see in the carburettor in the background.
