02 VINSON AUTO - NO SERVICE MANUAL - WHICH MAINT ITEMS TO BUY???
#1
150 miles on it and not sure what has been done to it, so looking to do all myself other than valve or carb adjustments.
Which engine oil? (I was thinking Mobile 1 10W-40 for our Inland Northwest summers.)
Which oil filter? (Don't want to buy an overpriced Suzuki brand if possible.)
Which gear/diff fluid?
Which air filter? (I'm assuming K&N vs. factory foam.)
Does it need rejetted before I try riding from 4000-7000 ft elevation?
Will put in an inline fuel filter asap.

go with mobil 1 yep its good what i use, 2700mi, and not a problem
the stock air filter has been good to me, but with my pipe a k&n makes a differnece
any wal-mart 10w-90, gear oil is good.( i used penzoil)
Oil filter- FRAM PH6018, never had a problem with a fram, use em in all my quads, and cars

vinson 581, thanks for the info. Do you have the silenced HMF? Is it so loud that it would be bothersome to someone riding behind you for long periods of time? A lot louder than stock? Does an HMF/K&N or UNI air filter/jet kit combo make a considerable difference in power to justify what, about $300?

i am runnin a straight HMF no quiet core, the pipe is to loud, wait 2 more weeks to buy a eco system from hmf, much much much quieter.
my bike is at 100db, and the neibors say it is loud, but they say a electric golf cart is loud. yes addin a pipe filter, and proper jettin will make a noticeable difference in power.
altho some many say the pipe is loud, when ridein on the bike you cannot tell the difference from stock.
