Need to make my 160 faster
#5
k and n has jet kits and a filter for the 160. The only pipe I've seen is from Jardine and is advertised as being quieter, but not more powerful. Try removing the back "clean out" plug from your muffler. It will be a little louder, but seems to gain a little mid range power. If you don't ride in deep water, consider putting a couple of 1' holes in the airbox lid when you get the bigger jets. Depending on whether you want quicker off the line or faster on top, you may consider small changes in your sprocket sizes. Once you get it up to speed, you might consider metallic brake shoes since the 160 doesn't have the best brakes.

for all the money said to spend, save your money, and get something that has potential, the money you save not doing anything to it+ the $ you get for the bike, can buy you something much better like a used ltz250.
