not a very bright thing to do to a quadsport. you would be better off throwing it off a cliff

It is possible to put nitrous on any internal combustion motor, the question is, is it worth it? Basically, all you need, is a nitrous bottle (2 lb), lines running from the bottle to a solenoid, needle or nitrous jets, and a power source (battery or maybe the stator). Nitrous has a bad rap, due to lack of understanding. A properly tuned motor, running right on with the mixture, not too lean or rich, will not cause engine damage by itself. It could cause engine damage by overpowering the components in the engine causing them to fail. If you get the mixture too lean, kiss your head gasket or piston goodbye, it will burn them up quick, but this is the same thing that can happen on a lean motor without nitrous too. You gotta weigh the advantages over the practicality of using the juice, I personally think on a quad, unless you drag race, is useless. The bottle doesn't last very long to use all day, maybe only a minutes worth of power.

NO2 is for drag racing. Its used for short burst such as in a drag race.

Ok, the reply by the last guy is right on. Short bursts only. Also, it is not a nitrogen tank, it is a Nitrous Oxide tank. Two entirely different types of gases. What I am going to say next is not to be taken in a bad way, it's kind of constructive criticism. If you have to ask so many questions about N02, then you shouldn't be using it. You can do alot of damage by not knowing the facts. Once you get the facts straight, then you can put it to use. I have been running nitrous for about 9 years in my cars, and never had a problem with the system at all, except preventative maint. I squeeze off a 225 shot in my motor too. Later.
