I have a problem that baffles me..My eiger won't start with the button but will with the recoil...I was told there is a reset button on the machine but can't find it...also my machine seems to be over heating any ideas...oil level is fine

 

Just a thought but probably not. Did you check the connection to your battery? My seemed to have popped off. None of your lights will work if the battery is disconnected. Again, just a thought, not to seem as if I were being sarcastic.

mabey you have a bad starter motor solonoid.

 

Did ya check the voltage? Do yer lights work when not running? Are ya in neutral? Do you have voltage at the key?

I havent heard of a reset button. But there are fuses. A main fuse is under the bracket that holds the battery in and smaller ones in a small block next to the air cleaner. Check these areas for voltage.

 

Is the battery voltage low? If you have a voltmeter, hook it up, and read the at rest voltage....then turn on the key, and try to start, and watch the voltage. If it gets below 10 volts, recharge it and have it load tested.

 

when you hit the start button does the quad turn over or doesnt it do anything
