What do you do if you get your Eiger into deep water and the belt slips?
#1
Thought someone might know what to do:
Got into deep water, and the Eiger totally shut down. It would barely pull itself. Engine would rev, but she wasn't going anywhere. I rode it for about an hour, and it finally came around. I saw a plug on the right side that looked like it was possibly for draining the transmission. I took it out, and there was nothing in there. I have ridden it about 10 miles since then, and have noticed no problems. Was there any permanent damage? Is the plug I took out for draining water, or is there a plug for that? Should I have drained it immediately or done something different?
Thanks for any help.

I have an 02 vinson and there is a bolt to loosen at the bottom where the belt is and I have had to drain it twice. Mine does the same thing when I get water in there, high reving and no power....

Belts just slipping. Drain it, leave it running (I know the Polaris manual syas to rev it in neutral). It'll dry and you shouldn't have a problem. I would recommend after it happens, to take the cover off and make sure there isn't any crap left in there.
