I have a Z 400 and I was going to order a manual one from http://www.hayabusazone.com/tensioner.html

I was wondering if this is the one I need, and how do I install it?
How do I adjust it?
and how do I know when I need to re adjust it?
and any other info you have this is for a 03 Z 400 thanks a lot

why not just keep the one that is simple and easy to uea? The one that came with your machine go bad? I would stay with one like the stock one that adjusts itself.

You dont want to use the manual chain tensioner. i have the hybusa chain tensioner and i bent two titanium valves because it was to tight. So your better off going with the stock unit. Even yoshi told me the same thing.

If U want the manual tensioner because Ur cam chain has stretched, change that chain, don't try extending its life or U will have more probs then just the stretched chain. Like Murdr says I havn't heard of anyone who could exactly tell if the tensioner was too tight or not. I got my cam chain from Advantage Cycle for $60. It is a 3/4 heavy duty DID, don't get the 4/5 it rides on top of Ur guides on in them.
