I bought the intake and exhaust from hotcams. The only thing it did was make it slower. When some one put the hotcams in did it make a improvement or did it take all your low end and no top end.

Make sure you installed them correctly and also that your valve clearance is correct. If the clearnce is off, you will lose a lot of power...did you have to replace the shims??? The intake side is usually alright even with the HotCam but the exhaust almost always needs to be changed. That's my guess...

I noticed an nice size increase in low end power with the intake cam. I noticed more lowend than midrange to topend. I have to jet up some more yet though so that might change yet. I just ordered some jets today right now i'm at a 150 main and 4th clip from the top w/ a alba needle.

i had the tech guy at suzuki dealership install the hotcams. After taking it out and test running it a noticed it was slower. To prove my hypothesis i raced my buddies kfx-700 that i usually beat, and got smoked. The quad was slower, i took it back to the dealership to see if the valve clearence and lash was ok. He said it was, but i think the tech didnt want to swallow his pride and say that he could of made a mistake. I then took my quad out and it was still slow. I took my quad back yet again and had them remove the cams. After the cams were removed it was fast again. So , there should a signifcant gain right?? Right now i am running a 165 jet. Those who have them speak up and tell what you think of them and what the power difference was.

mine is defanatlly a noticable difference. There was a power gain I did notice it. @ guys that I ride with also have them and they noticed a power increase. The cams are adjustable and the tech may have degreed them in wrong maybe you should take it somewhere else. The other thing that happened on mine was that the cams dident fit right and I had to send them back to hotcams because the casting on the heads are all different so they were to tight maybe this is the issue you are running into. maybe not I dunno a few guys here are running them including myself and have had good luck with them. good luck...
