yeah i have an Eiger with about 950 Miles on it and yesterday when riding it just started to sputter and wouldn't drive at over half throttle with out the choke on!!! I don't think it was outta gas or starved because the fuel filter was full of gas and it wouldnt run for about another half hour or so Only time it has done it

oh add on that I read all of this and put on the fuel filter within the first 2 hours

any thoughts apprectiated

 

Carb dirt. Try taking out the air filter and put your hand over the intake a couple times til it stalls. Run up the RPMs a little. Otherwise you need to check the vent hose from the carb to under the seat or take off the bowl and clean the jets.

 

Sounds like the carb will need to come out for a cleaning and checking. Something went lean, needle clip came off, needle broke, jet is plugged....
By turning on the choke, you added more fuel, via the starter jet... good thinking.
