Eiger jetting, stock is 122! WAY too lean

It's interesting that this thread is still alive...
I'm still here, although it seems like the Suzuki side of ATV Connection is dying. Sad, I guess.
I'm getting a plow soon... moved to central oregon. More snow here. Only 30 mins from Mt Bachelor. That rocks.
At this higher altitude (4200 ft), I've jetted back down to a 128. That's WITH a larger carb, mind you. I'm glad the Eiger is still a popular sell at the Suzuki dealer. It's a great ride, and I wish I had the newer style headlights. I still get looks with my Eiger in my truck. Handguards, 589's, a lift, it looks pretty tough compared to the average stock quad. I'm thinking about getting some TwinPeaks 700 decalls to steal the '700' part and put it on my Eiger. That'd be a laugh. : )
When I started here, modding an Eiger was a relatively new proposition. Not many people had gone very far, and the aftermarket makes practically NOTHING. (Jerks) Now, there's at least one more person that is putting a Vinny carb on, and Vinny shocks, and others are pondering it. Right on! I'm glad there are some more brave mechanics out there.

Hey guys,
Well, I dropped the dynojet goodies into my Eiger and things are NOT going well.
Issue 1. Engine starts, idles well for approximately 30 secs to 2 mins...then slowly decreases in rpms....and dies.
Issue 2. Move throttle past idle and the engine bogs down and dies.
Issue 3. I really dont want to spend any money on taking it to the local shop.
HELP ME, PLEASE...O' Gods of Eiger Tuning!!!!

Sounds like the idle circuit needs to be adjusted. Your issue sounds really close to what I dealt with a while back... i tried messing with the idle circuit and could never get it right, took it to the dealer I bought it from and they fix it for me free of charge.

In reference to my previous post...ITS ALL FIXED!!
Let this be a lesson to all you other modders out there in the future. Remember to hook up that hose on the front of your carb to the petcock, it pressurizes your gas tank, and it wont run without it....hehe.
Now, as far as the jet goes...i'm not sure it's done all that much for performance, I'm sad to say.
I'm at 600ft and 50 degrees. Went with 120 DJ jet and needle with washer 3 spaces down, 2 down would make it lag at half throttle for me. It took me 2 days to figure out the pressurized tank problem so I'm just happy that I can ride the thing.
I may try a larger main jet, 122 DJ or 124 if I get bored one day. For now, I'm tired of messing with it. And for the record, the largest performance boost I've seen was from the aftermarket air filter.
Now, lets get some more guys working on their Eigers!!!!

I don't know what the comparison is of the DJ jets compared to the stock jets, but I'm running a 115 in my wifes and trying out a 118 in mine. Mine ran real strong last Friday when I took out for a romp in the snow. I'd like to try a 120 or the stock 122, but I wanna get to some altitude with this 118 to make sure it still runs decent. At home I'm at about 5300ft and ride up to 10K feet alot during the summer.
What kind of air filter did you put on yours? K&N ?

I run under 2000 feet ( usually under 1000 feet) and I have the DJ 118 with a K&N Air Filter. ( I purchased the Quad Works Stage 1 kit for the Eiger and it had all of this)
I am not sure the comparison of the DJ jets numbering to stock but I went from the stock 122 to DJ 118 and the DJ118 is bigger.
I have seen great performance increase. I have a friend who bought an 06 Eiger 2 weeks ago. Mine, with 26" MudLites and full alluminum skids is quicker than his all stock. When I did it I was only expecting to get back to stock performance with the bigger tires and added weight.
As Aksafari has said for a while there is alot you can do with the Eiger and they are pretty easy to tinker with.
Aksafari - thanks for blazing the way on Eiger mods!

Hey Hemi,
I have the Twin Air foam air filter with filter oil.
Now, as far as the DynoJet/Keihin jet size comparisons here is what I've found...
dj118 = k125
dj120 = k127.5
dj122 = k130
dj124 = k132.5
dj126 = k135
dj128 = k137.5
dj130 = k140
dj132 = k142.5
dj134 = k145
dj136 = k147.5
dj138 = k150
dj140 = k152.5
Now I'm thinking about getting a Yoshimura RS-3 exhaust slip-on. They're supposed to be the quietest mod exhaust with the best power. An exhaust mod is where the real power is gonna come from jetting these eigers.

Let us know how load and what type of performance you get from that Yoshimura exhaust.
I was looking at the HMF with Quite Core. The web site said 10 dB louder than stock. I am concerned about noise where I ride so I have held off but am still thinking about something.
