Dude,
Twist throttle is another topic. If you like riding with one hand behind your back go for it. Otherwise DONT go twist grip.

In time your thumb muscles will develope and your thumb will not get sore anymore. Twist grips are dangerous on a Quad, You will gas it when you dont want to, then your body and Quad will be way more sore than your thumb ever was!!!!!!!

Just my .02
Dont say nobody warned you before you installed it and busted yourself and your quad up.

Time will tell on that one Shon. If tis what you are comfortable with dont change. If you and I went way back, I'd be slashing your tires every time you tried to ride it. Nothing personal, I just dont want to see another rider busted up like that due to a twist grip. You know the story.

When I first switched to twist it was definitely a little hairy, especially on whoop sections. Once I got the hang of it, I grew to like it alot more than the old thumb.

The Gas Gas Wild 300 and 450 come with twist. When I first put my twist on my 250R I hit a whoop and sailed off into some bushes. Twists can be dangerous and you have to MASTER a twist throttle, not just be comfortable with it. But if you can master it you will have an advantage over other riders.

i am used to a twist throttle from my dirtbike, however i also believe it is a hole different story on a quad. I had a thumb on my 3 wheeler, and u r right, i did get used to it, so now i am undecieded. but will my stock throttle cable work on the new carb?

how is there an advantage one over the other? gas is gas whether you twist it or push it with your thumb. i've ridden both and dont like the twist and feel more comfortable with the thumb but i dont think theres a performance advantage to either.
