has he driven yours before? and have you driven his before? Which to you feels like it responds faster to the throttle?

 

congrats I also got to come across a yfz and a 450r. My zilla is an 87 with fmf pipe other than reeds i am pretty stock. I beat the yfz and 450r so bad it wasnt even funny everybody said the yfz will out handle the zilla and it might if they could keep up but again 500 2 stroke versus 450 4 stroke i didnt think it would be much of a race i got to ride the honda but not the yfz i was not impressed at all after 17 years the zilla still rocks...

 

i think to get accurate drag readings you'll have to do it many times on and switch riders to make sure it isnt rider error. also the motor isnt the only factor in going fast. i remember losing to a near stock 450r on sand because i could never hook up right. you may have the faster quad, it seems like it but just to see you should switch riders and try it on different types of terrain. i wanna ride a lt500 and see what the powerband is like. ive ridden a modded banshee before and i was glad i came back with my arm intact.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

yeah my quad is sh*t fast but the yfz is one heck of a good quad for its class. its the first 4-stroke i've seen thats near a 2-stroke.
