maybe u guys can help me with this problem......................today I thought my spark plug fouled....so I called my dad to come and get me...well we took out the spark plug on my 92 LT-250r and there is NO spark coming to the spark plug...have any of you guys had this similar problem..if so please help me because we dont know where and how to find out what the problem is..we are thinking either the magneto, coil, or a bad wire in between..do any of you guys know how I could trouble shoot this problem thanks...also if i need parts can you give me a website or phone number?? thx a LOT!!

in your clymer manual it has trouble shooting section u can check everything with an ohmeter except the cdi. so process of elimination. gl nice bike


and i also run gearsaver

ok thanks...do you know a site where i can get that clymer manual??? i dont have one( just got the bike) and arent there 2 volumes to it??? do you have both or just one of them?? thanks

i have no idea about 2 volumes i have 2 of same volume one having colorcoded wiring schematic . id go buy one at bike shop like 15 bux but u will need it. sooner or later

anything else you would recommend me get?? the 87 is like the 92 right?? have you had a problem like this??

not on this one but on the 90 lt250 yes and it will drive ya nuts like any electrical u should have it pinned in an hr . btw if its ur pickup coil on ur stator assebly do not try to chisel screws loose if u strip then u will brak the little ear it connects to off your stator assebly trust me haha

i had to check all mine with ohmeter. everythings checkable except the cdi, so check everything else first.
oh crap your the one without the manual eh ...hahahahah your gonna make me type it all out one fingered .

1987 and later
pickup coil black and black/ white 175-265 ohm
power source coil black/red and black/white 315-475 ohms
lighting coil yellow/red and black/white .5-1.0 ohms
primary resistance coil itself left ground screw on coil to plug wire 0-1 ohms
secondary resistance coil itself right ground screw and black wire 12000-18000 ohms

for accurrate readings components should be atleast 68deg F and be sure to check all your wiring before you start this for broken wires and make sure your black and white wire is grounded good luck again. remind me send u a manual for xmas to save my finger from typing hahahah

whoa...put a new plug in then check. too much work to test all that when most of the time its a plug.

the plug looks new and i dont feel a spark at all...i will get a new plug anyways, and im hoping thats all it is..but i think it MIGHT be something a little more serious...buy i hope you are right gogozilla
