The Blaster gets up top top speed faster because it is a 2 cycle, and has a better power to wieght ratio.

 

Wow I didn't know a blaster went that fast. Its hard to believe that your going 55 when you feel like your going so slow. Everytime I ride it I go to upshift and then realize I'm already in 6th.....[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]..... It feels even slower after riding my 125 or my Quadracer.... but my lt must do about 75-80 so yeah i guess 55 is about right.... it just feels so slow when you know you can't go any faster than that. But if 55 in the trails is too slow that means i better slow down when im on my LT!!!!!

 

I know it's a little late but i'm bored and just needed to say something!!! I had a blaster 04 ok, tell you right now they are faster than a z250, bottom line. I have ridden both quads and the power in a blaster is crazy. Z250 vs. a blaster is like a 250ex vs a 400ex. The only way the z might beat a blaster is if the guy on the blaster can't ride, and if you ride the beans out of the z250. Since i got my lakota sport i have raced styelz and yes it was close but i still won!!Anyway i weigh more than him and so does my quad! Fast and the Furious quote (It does not matter if you win by an inch or a mile winning is winning!!!!!!) Now with my mods on a z can't touch me. Blasters love mods and they can beat a ton of quads if they just have pipes, jet kits, and filter. A few hundred $ in a blaster and your set period!!!

z250 is a 4 stroke therefore more reliable! Just my .02 cents...........btw i had an 01 blaster and loved it but just outgrew it.......had an expansion chamber, power reeds.... that thing zipped pretty good.
