Yeah for someone who cares about getting hurt i guess. but i couldnt care less if it landed on me. if i die i die if i live i live if i mess up a leg or rib it will heal. and yes i do do more drag racing and flying down open trail more than anything else. and how much horses is the King putting out.

ROFL @ all of u!

I tend to think somewhat differently! I would bet money that my Peaks would beat a KQ on the trails....

Ur gonna have to be an awfully good rider......

Goblin: sounds like u got urself a big mouthfull of shut the hell up! NONE of my dealers around here within 100miles allow a "test" drive! U gotta pass out the cash in order for u to get a good idea of what its even like! I dont even think just sitting on the thing will cut it!

Have fun and buy wutever tf u like! Its not my quad and i am not u!

Just another thing to consider, I use my SRA to my advantage on the trails ALL THE TIME! I slide the rear end around alot!
Good luck with an IRS doing that as good as a Peaks/Prairie...

VERRY Rarely do i get up over 35mph on the trails....i hit 70only in the field crossings and on the road! BEST to have a motor that makes most of its power down low, not just in the middle and topend.........

Uhhh........no. Have you ever heard of a test ride?
Just because i felt like continuing to go off...i will add this........

WHY dont u go quote someone that actually gives a fawk wut u say! And dont quote me on something that you have absolutely no idea wtf you are even talking about....why dont u just think about it!.......NO dealer is gonna have a good array of trails for u to do a lil "test" drive on....Let alone allow u to open the thing up.

Some of us have dealers that allow test rides, not anyone else's fault you don't. As far as the Prairie goes, good machine, great motor but not the be all and end all in every situation for every person. If you like your machine that's great and I think everyone will be happy for you but you guys seem to have blinders on thinking no other machine will compete. I've looked at every other machine out there, ridden the prairie(modded and not modded), ridden the brute, ridden the Grizz, owned and rode a Polaris....they all have their place and they are all great machines but I see the KQ as being a pretty complete package that looks like it could compete with any of those machines in any situation. It may not come out on top in some areas but that's ok, there is no perfect machine. Just ride what you like but there is no need to bash something that isn't even to market yet or anyone else's machine for that matter. Good luck with what you ride, I'll enjoy what I choose. I sold my Polaris because I was afraid it would put me in the poorhouse but I loved it for what it was while i had it and I'll enjoy my next machine.

I will agree with that on a certain level, only I DONT THINK MY PEAKS IS BY ANYMEANS KING$HIT!.......

There is NO machine out there right now that has EVERYTHING i would like!....the KQ is just IMO as it hasent even been released to us yet....farther from what i would like to see!

Blurr,

All I'm trying to say is that it's great you guys love your Peaks....trying to make a little peace in this thread that seems to be getting a little silly. We're speculating about a machine that isn't even out yet BUT if someone, like myself, wants one and likes the package we are entitled to our opinion. A V-twin isn't something that is importan to me, I've ridden then and with them, great motors but like any machine they have their quirks and problems. Personally I have no interest in playing with two carbs and like worrying about one spark plug only...I'm not mechanically inclined and fully admit that...that alone makes me like the single and the EFI, the single simplifies my maintence and the EFI takes away my having to deal with something I'm just not great with and that's Carbs plus it should enhance performance and mileage....plus, unlike carbs, EFI shouldn't sputter at extreme angles which I have had happen and that feeling sux. I also prefer IRS, do I like to slide around with a straight axle, of course I do but most of my riding is rocky, muddy, and snowy and in all of these situations IRS shines. I sometimes miss the characteristics of the SRA which is one reason I like the stats on the KQ because it should handle more like an SRA then other IRS machines out there. I can only afford one machine so it has to pack as many things I like into that machine right out of the box as possible, I believe the KQ has that for me so I'm getting it. I also think I will have to sink the least amount of money into one to get the performance and handling I want out of the KQ then any other machine on the market today. I may regret that in the long run for some reason or another, I did with the SP700, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed and getting an extended warranty because it's not a proven machine. Neither is the Brute and they are selling like hotcakes. These are all things I want in a machine and my reasons for liking the KQ, you may disagree and I respect that but I accept anyone else to respect my decision. Oh, as far as test rides...a dealer in my area has a pretty extensive set of trails behind the shop I can take a test ride on. I know from experience that it should only take me a couple of miles to get a feel as to whether I'll want it or not so his trails should be fine. I don't expect to take it on a test in all conditions...even if a friend let me take his machine for a ride I wouldn't take it through two feet of water and mud so I don't expect to be allowed to do that at any dealer. As I said before, enjoy what you ride and I'll enjoy what I ride.

Actually there are times I regret ever selling my old Moto4 225 for next to nothing just so I could hop on every once in a while and throw it around...it wasn't a screamer by any means but it was light and fun for powersliding in tight trails. Sometimes even miss shifting it but that's few and far between since today's CVT are just about always in the powerband.

My suki dealer will let me drive it. They might have a KQ on the truck this morning. I got the day off, and I will go if they have one.

How am I supposed to know how well it drives if all I do is ride it on snooth pavement? I can get a feel for the power. I can see everything up close. I just don't think a pavement test is all that informative.

To be honest I am not all that impressed with my 650's pavement handling.
