Default Wheel Center Caps-'03 Ozark

2003 Ozark--Does anyone have an alternative center cap they use or some sort of trick to keeps these little boogers on? At almost $6.00/piece I'm getting tired of replacing them. I've been losing them at the rate of around 1 per month. Just replaced the front wheel bearings with sealed bearings and am wondering if the center caps are even necessary anymore. Thoughts???

Also, along the same lines, does anyone know where you can pick up the $1.32 fender clips cheaper than what I'm finding online? I lose those things constantly! Would rather not use zip ties, screws, etc... as the clips are designed to give first and save your plastic.

Thanks.

I drilled 1/32 holes in the caps, ran a 12" loop(3 times around) of safety wire around the "x" flange, then threaded the ends through the holes. Next, I twisted the end for 3/4", clipped the excess off w/ side cutters, and folded it over. I have not lost a cap since doing this. I, like you, got tired of buyin' 'em!
