I went to adjust my chain today and the upper left bolt of the four that you have to loosen will not move. I sprayed wd-40 on it and still had no luck. I can still adjust my chain with it locked up i just don't feel right about it. Has anyone had this problem or do you think it is going to be a problem? I can still get the bottom two bolts lined up evenly.

 

The chain adjustment sucks on these bikes.Hard to believe this was the best they could come up with

 

use a cheater bar.

 

BINGO.. i had to use my foot to break the bolts loose.

 

Tried the foot and this thing will not move, I about kill myself just getting it to go about a cm so I don't feel like taking it all the way off, i'll just leave it.

 

Upper left ? Cheater bar works, 1/2 drive works better until you snap it like I did. The 03' swinger set up is by far the worst. Plus it calls for 70 ft lbs of torq.

Yes, and the o4 has less bolts but they are just as tight. Steel bolt + aluminum carier = @%!&*!!.

Impact wrench or heat work best. If you heat, heat the bolt head only.
