Default Big problems with Z-400

I am having a problem with my 03 Z-400 and was wondering if anyone has experenced this, and if so what the problem was. I was riding the quad for about three hours the other day when the bike cut out in fourth gear at about three-quarter throttle and it stalled. The bike started back up up, but won't stay running without slight throttle input. If you get it running and rev it up it will rev fine until three quarter throttle when it cuts out, and bogs real hard. It almost feels like it hits a rev-limiter like when its in reverse, or something electronic cuts out, but I can't really tell. I thought about a rev-limiter problem, but that won't explain why it won't idle without throttle input. I never had any problems with it before. The bike is stock. It has about 100 hours on it. Any info will help me a lot. I am tring to avoid bringing it to the dealer. Thank you in advance

Ok this sounds stupid...but its true...fill your quad up with gas and then see if it works alright. When it actually looks like you've got a little gas in the tank, its actually in the reserve!! Trust me just try it and if it doesn't fix the problem then ok, but it could be an easy fix!...Especially with stock quads, they are usually very reliable and things don't just "go out" like that.

I would take the carb apart and clean it.
