it was acting weird for awhile. i shut it off and then kick it back on. after about 7 seconds it dies out, so i do it again, same thing happens. then i try to give it gas to keep it from dieing, and when i do, it goes really high and then bogs down and stalls out even with the throttle half way, what could be wrong?

 

dont know.but sounds like it blew a base gasket or something.sounds lean.jetting?

 

it not a gasket......it it was suckin in air, it would be revvin up high by itself......

 

could be the stator also . check the reeds 2 .

 

Check the reeds like Don said.... I bet they are broke

Mine was doing the same thing and believe it or not it was the circlip on the needle valve. Pull the top off tha carb and make sure the needle is attached to the slider. I know it sounds weird but mine would start and run for a short time and die imediatly if you gave it much throttle.

 

check to see if ur reeds are loose or any thing next to ur carb,reeds

 

i got it fixed, all it was was the plug. i pulled it out , looked fine, but i replaced it and it started, i guess somthin was wrong with it?

 

it was probably gapped wrong or something
