I've got an opportunity to pick up a pretty clean 87 Zilla. She's a beauty, but I haven't ridden it yet. I know there are a few things to look out for, esp. on the 87's. It's been a long time since I've been on one, so besides the F&R suspension, fluid, and visual engine, intake, drivetrain inspection, what else should I look for? How hard should it kick over? Any helpful suggestions for the road test are appreciated.

 

feel for a pull to one side or another. I bought mine off ebay, I heard it run over the phone, and it did, but the frame was tweaked and only after some bending, welding, and ajusting the toe-in did i now get it to drive pretty much strait and true

 

at first, i couldnt kick my zilla over, tok me a few days to get used to it, itll feel really hard, but thats how its supposed to be
