get your 20 hour service (valves and so on)

 

Isn't warranty 1 year? So isn't it still on warranty??? If so, make it the dealers problem.

Suzukis are famous for having problems with the fuel petcock, which is run off of vacume from the carb. Put it in on PRI, and see if the problem goes away.

 

If it idles OK but cuts out when on the throttle, it sounds like water in the gas. All gas has it. When sitting for a while, the water can settle in the bowl. Try draing the bowl and let gas run though it for a second or two and then try it again.

 

I have tried both of those things and the warranty is up, 2 weeks after the 6 months..isnt that always how it works.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

My rear shock blew a couple of weeks after it went off warranty, but good excuse to get some aftermarket ones!

 

check your carb. it happened to me
the main jet fell out . it iwould idel fine but
once you gassed it it lost power, pulled the carb
and found the jet in the bowl

 

Thanks for the help, LTZ400guy nailed it on the nose. I cleaned the carb and it runs like new again. Time to pipe it!!
