Blue Smoke From Exaust?

i got a re-built 86 lt250r. It runs POWERFULL and really fast. idles smooth and everything. but their is a modest amount of blue smoke coming from the exaust. Im running 32:1 should i bump it to 40:1 ?

Whatever u do dont bump it up to 40-1. The bike actually calls for 24-1, but most everybody i know runs 32-1 and it runs fine. As far as the blue smoke goes, well its a 2 stroke, its supposed to burn oil. Unless you are somehow sucking up and burning yur crankcase oil. So if i were you i would pay attention to yur crankcase oil level to see if you are in fact burning it. The only way for it to come up would be through the crank chamber.

ohh and by the way if your 2 stoke doesn't smoke you got problems!

the guy qho taught me about fourwheelers has an 85 Lt 250 and he runs golden spectro at about 50:1 and leaner. he has never had a problem. and becuase it doesnt load up with oil it goes like a raped ape

i have the yammablu racing 2-stroke pre-mix oil. It smokes more on start up , if i let it idle for about 10min and then run it smokes noticably less. Im running 42:1 right now.
