Need Help, Fast Idle After Jetting/Lid Removed
Hey guys, I removed the airbox lid and the silencer from the snorkel and rejetted. I changed out the main jet and the needle/clip then I turned out the pilot screw 3.5 turns. It idles HIGH and hot, choke made it higher, idle screw does nothing really. I've gone all the way up to 5.5 turns out, still very high idle and some popping. Plug base/insulator is tannish, electrode looks a little grey. It ran good at about 4.25 turns out, plug said rich so I changed it to a new one and leaned the pilot down a 1/4 turn and it started this high idle and hasn't stopped, I've been all over the pilot screw. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the replies fellas. I took another look at it and saw that the carb boot going into the engine was cocked to side a bit and was allowing air to get in causing my high idle and lean condition. Running fine now.
Charlie, I put a 146 Dynojet main in.
