Default New Z-400 HELP!!!

The rear left bolt on my swing arm that holds that axle in place. (There Are two bolts on one side and two smaller bolts on the right, by the disc brake. So the four bolts that hold the swing arm in place) The Back left bolt does not want to loosen or tighten. Seems like its stuck or about to brake off. It came loose but then got stuck at mid point and does not want to loosen or tighten. I dont want to snap the bolt in inside my swing arm. What should i do???

If it's new, is it still on warranty? Make it the dealers problem.

Default New Z-400 HELP!!!

the larger bolts are torqued to 73 lbs,and the smaller are 53lbs.i doubt that you can budge them with a 3/8 ratchet.you need to use a 1/2 inch drive for leverage.don't use a socket extention because you may get an incorrect tourqe reading and you MUST MUST retourqe the bolts.

Default New Z-400 HELP!!!

If you look close @ both of them bolts, you will see that the bigger of the 2 have washers on them the smaller 2 do not.

I had the same problem.mine stuck to the indicater bracket......It even bent.....

I ended up striping the head of the blot.....The bracket on the bottom of the swing arm. Has 2 nuts wleded to it.

I took out the bigger of the 2 bolts & just ground the head off the 1 I striped & punched it through.

When I put it back together I got some new washers/Blots &,antiseize, antiseize, antiseize lol.
