My 100 mile KQ report
Hy guys, just bought a King myself, and being a prairie 650 owner as well here is my take.
First I do not have any lag on take off... none. There is deffinately less power down low than the Kawi's but the handling is so superior to the brute's. Stock for stock that is. Wheelies good, not like the brute though. I feel much more comfortable on it than on the brute.
I got rid of that damn overide so now I am at full speed in reverse or locked up. The thing I hate most is the efi, cannot blip the throttle, it will fart and sputter. Hopefully there will be releasing the power commander soon. Anybody hear anything on that?
PS, those plastic clips are very nice once you get used to them. I have them on my eiger and used to hate em. That is until I figured out how they worked. Now taking the plactic off takes seconds!!!!

I am hoping that the lag on the KQ is one of those intentional things Suzuki does that is easy to reverse. I have Suzuki GSXR street bike, and Suzuki intentionally gave it a lag to keep the front end down. To fix this requires a resistor and one cut ignition wire. I am hoping the KQ is the same.

My 100 mile KQ report
I finally got a chance to ride a KQ that wasn't presold already at the local suzuki dealer and lets just say I'm less than impressed with it. Must be why I left there and went and picked my Brute Force 750 up. The ergonomics I agree are better on the KQ but they power was really disappointing. In addition the one I rode the diff lock would stick on. I had one period where I shut it off and went to turn it back on and it wouldnt' refire for about 30 seconds tried it 30 seconds later and it fired fine. However when riding it and giving it moderate throttle it would backfire and sputter too. In additon the 4wd stuck on me to for about a minute after I already turned it off. The price was a little better deal and I could go on but just my $.02.
