Default BEWARE OF EBAY

I think your thread should be called "beware of scammers" rather than "beware of ebay".

If you go purchase a new YFZ for 3600 bucks delivered from a place in France you just got what you deserved.

It's easy to spot a scam and if you have any doubts they have an easy way to use escrow so the money is held until both parties are satisfied. Any honest seller as well as buyer would have no problem utilizing that system.

This kinda crap really pisses me off. I was looking for motorcycles before I bought my Z and I kept seeing these 2003 Gixxer 750's for like $3500. I was deployed 10,000 miles away in between Africa and Austrailia, so the net was the only way we could shop at the time. I saw so many of those scam-bikes that I was leary of any good deal I found. Pansy-asses like these Fockers have to go and make things harder for honest, hard-working people.......

If you are 100% sure what is being sold is a scam its an easy fix. Make a high bid on the item that seems reasonable. EBAY will collect there commission off the seller VIA there credit card on file. Then dont complete the transaction with the seller. If EBAY sends you an email tell them you did complete the transaction so they will collect there % <S>.
