Fliping Stock Rims for Extra With??
i wanted some extra with in the front of my quad so i decided to flip the front tires and rims. They look about 2inches wider and looks great. the only problem is that the tire inflator thing is hitting my brake guard. so do i have to take the tires off and flip them too? also, is their any bad side to flipping your rims? and technequies on takeing a tire off its rim is very very helpfull. thanks!

Increased bump steer, faster ball joint wear, unpredictable handling just to name a few downsides.
The valve stem is in the wheel and has nothing to do with the tire, flipping the tire will not change the valve stem.
You either need a short valve stem or you need to drill a new hole in the other side of the wheel and put a new stem in there while inverting the old stem.

You can buy some flush valve stems from JCWhitneys for like $20. Take them to a tire shop and let them change them for you (breaking the bead on stock rims and tires is a bit**). Thats what I did, I definetely think its worth it. The bump steer is a little worse, but its still worth it. Hope this helps.

Fliping Stock Rims for Extra With??
hey 86lt...i am getting rid of my wheel spacers. they are durablue. i have them on my z400 and don't know if they will fit yours. i plan on pulling them off in a week or so....i am buying some lonestar a-arms.
i will tell you this though, i have broken (5) tie-rod ends since i put these spacers on. i am convinced that the extra moment (leverage) from these spacers is contribting to the tire-rods ends breaking. i've gone through nearly $300 in tie-rod ends (includes overnight shipping to ride the next day).
anyway, if you don't race....these may be good for you.

The only way to go is WIDER A ARMS. I have some douglas rims with an offset that makes mine a lot wider and now it seems like i have play in my steering. Im constantly having to tighten the ball joints too. Oh yea and Durablue wheel spacers...LOL...POS. I had them on the rear on my kfx and they cracked while i was jumping. If you want width go with wider A arms and axle... Trust me, nothing else will hold up if you ride hard.
