home built a-arms
#2
My friend made a set for his Z400. Just used regualr steel tube, bored the holes out in it and stuck the original bearings back in it for pivots. You can get tie rods to match the tapers in the spindles from an auto supply store and use them as ball joints to make them camber/caster adjustable. Greasable too! Just make sure you measure twice and cut once because you dont want your front end off-kilter from misaligned a arms. Depending on what your skills are you can even put in adjustable shock mounts if you want.
Hes had them on for at least 5 months and they havent bent broken or cracked yet. Just upgrade your shocks because the stockers will get destroyed, his were trash shortly after and have since been replaced by Elkas.
