KQ - Who has this Reverse fail problem???

If you do standard maintenance on the atv yourself, do they still honor the extended warranty? It seems to me that you would be unable to prove that you maintained it, and that could be used as a pretext for denying a claim. Does this happen?

A lot of what you are reading about this problem is hearsay. There are 3 or 4 known cases, the rest are just "I heard this" or "so and so told me that". The group I ride with has 5 King Quads (and growing) ranging in SN's from the mid 200's up to the mid 4000's so if this is a problem that is happening on a regular basis, surely one of us would get hit with it. So far, so good.
One thing I did notice is that when you let off the throttle, you have to wait a second or two for the RPMS to drop before trying to shift between gears. Could cause a problem if you tried to shift while at a higher RPM I would think.
The Extended warranty lists for $799, but you can buy for as low as $399 on Ebay with $529 being about the average. Both are genuine Suzuki plans offered by a Suzuki dealer. Don't think I would even consider one not sold by Suzuki.

Topgun1,
I have told you there is 2 in a dealer near me. If you check the highlifter forums you will see about 3 more confirmed. Now this is just from one web- forum to another. I hope to god my KQ doesn't do this. I have purchased the extended service contract. I will be picking up the machine on Mon. or Tuesday. Yes we know there are more then 4 confirmed cases. But i suppose that is pretty good compared to the 5000 machines that have already been sold.... I wouldn't get too worried about this as of yet. Like i said...i ended up purchasing my KQ last week knowing about this possible issue. I always purchase the service plan on a new ATV anyway... It's better when you go to sell it because it's a transferable warranty. Let's hope we don't hear of any more issues about this. Suzuki are looking into the problem now.

Yes its the same... Actually you have a six month factory warranty and the extended warranty goes into effect after this first 6 months,if you opt to purchase it. That makes 48 months. WHats good about it is, you can transfer it over to the new owner if you decide to sell. It a selling tool as well as piece of mind.
