Default painting the engine good or bad?

from what ive heard the paint keeps heat in the motor,my jug and two side cases are polished so i figured even if the paint did hold a little heat, the polished parts would expell heat more rapidly than the stock (with paint) thus making it pretty much even? i just cant see having my whole quad redone silver ,black and chrome and still having a blue engine lol.Worste case scenerio the whole engines getting polished.thanks for any info take care

Polish the whole thing. Make sure you post some pictures. It sounds like a tedious job but should be sexy looking.
