im looking into buying a mid size ute (around 400cc) so i was looking at the 2005 Eiger 400 4X4 auto and the 2005 Big bear 400 4X4 S. So i was wonderinghow well the eiger would do in the mud compared to the BB400?

 

I ride with three eigers and they go through some pretty nasty stuff. they are all 5speed's and have a/m tires and snorkel's.
If your set on an auto you might want to look at the vinson.

No comparison to the big bear, but my buddies 03 eiger auto w/ stock tires and warn winch followed everywhere a couple of stock and modified ranchers went. My modded rancher with 26" mudlites and his eiger were the only two quads that didnt get stuck that week.

 

well nvm cause my friend just got a YFZ450 so im gunna get a 05 Z400 to ride wit him and a Recon or Rancher 350 S 2wd thanxs everyone

 

The Eiger will win every time in any condition. I don't have time to post a bunch of details but it's hands down to the Suzuki.

Let me just say if you are into mudding you will want to get a set of ITP Mud Lites no matter what machine you go with. This will make more of a difference than the actual machine believe it or not.
