2005 King quad will not wheelie
#22
ah sorry again sds, that's "continuously". I'm gathering something from both of you, forming a profile. Let me guess, you both have the equivalency of a high school education. How's my guess?

LOL...Cam I'm with you man. These posts are hilarious though. Seriously though...all these guys claiming to easily wheelie this machine are full of it. Any experienced rider will tell you this is not a wheelie machine nor does it wheelie easily. A 400ex wheelies easily. A Raptor wheelies too easily. My 450r wheelies easily. My King Quad likes to cruise. And play in the mud, etc. But by no means is this a wheelie machine. If you guys claim to be "mx racers" and such and claim that the King Quad is an "easy" machine to pop the front end up then you just lost ALL credibility and I don't even believe that you know what MX even stands for. Of course now you are grabbing Webster's or a copy of MX action to figure it out. So now when you come back and flame me you will ofcourse know what it means. But still that won't change what I think. Anyway...the KQ is a great machine overall. The BEST utility quad I have EVER ridden. It is no doubt a fast quad for what it is intended for. What is it intended for? Whatever you want if you bought it. If you want to try and wheelie the beast...go ahead. But STOP lying. Yeah Cam...I am selling my KQ too. It's a sweet ride but I spend all my time on my 450r and the KQ is too nice of a machine to just sit in my shop! Anyone looking for a practically new red KQ let me know! I'm thinking like $5800? Im in Richmond, VA.

lol well gladly you can check my points standings to see that I do well in mx if you think I dont know mx. And gladly you can call the dealership I work at selling suzuki, kawasaki, honda, and yamaha. I have riden all of the big bores in the woods I have riden many sport quads and if you cant wheelie then you lost all my creditibility. I cant understand how you cant wheeile these things I cant belive its that hard for you to do. You can call me a liar you can call me a bad rider whatever you want but I have no proble what so ever wheeling this neither does anyone that I knw that has tried them. I have see most people wheelie these not trying to and say wow that thing is powerful. So you can think of me what you will gladly go to neavt-mx.com and look for rider 838 that is me I do just fine in racing. If I can figure out how to load video off my digital camera on to the computer ill take a video with the helmet camera and show you. its even easy to do a standup wheelie on these machines that werent built for this.

I have two KQ's Neither one will come close to pulling the front wheels off the ground, it just squats and goes! Even my 150lbs son can’t get the wheels off the ground, kinda glad it can’t also. But I Love the quads

So we have experienced riders who can wheelie a KQ with ease.
We have experienced riders that say it does not wheelie very well.
What are the chances that both are correct and that the first year KQ has some adjustment issues with it's EFI system? From what everyone is posting, it's almost like here are two different KQ's out there. I wish there was a way to get someone with one of the "good" KQ's to hook up with one of the "bad" KQ's so they could swap rides and figure this out.

What's up Jaybee. I was wondering the same thing about the "bad" King Quads and the "good" King Quads so I did just that. I rode another quad that a fellow enthusiast was claiming was great on low end power and could pop the front end up pretty easily. My conclusion after riding both back to back...my KQ being the one that lacks the low end. Both felt EXACTLY the same. When asked to produce "wheelies" the other rider lofted the front end a few inches maybe 6 to 8. I am sorry but to me that is not a true wheelie. As stated earlier in a different thread, I believe the differences in these quads is minimal and it is truely a rider felt opinion. Some think the KQ has great bottom end and some don't. Even with the same machine.

I've taken mine on pavement in high and nailed the gas and my KQ will not wheelie. It might lift the tires off the ground a bit, but will not wheelie. So if lifting the tires a bit to some is considering a wheelie, then yes it will. But in my book, this is not a wheelie. I race GNCC and the KQ lacks low end big time. This is my biggest complaint.
