Default 2003 LT Z250 gearchange

I know it is possible to adjsut the height of the stock foot shifter. can anyone explain how you do this?

There is a little bolt where the sifter meets the splines. Loosen that bolt, pull the shifter towards you until it comes off. Then move it where ever you think you would like it to be placed, and re-tighten the bolt.

On the linkage, there will be 2 heim joints (for lack of proper name) . You turn the sleeve that is between the 2 joints. It's threaded and will adjust the shifter.

and no further gear setup needed...just a pure unbolt, move and re tighten job?

Thanks LT80, that sounds more like it, rather thna having to remove the shift elver from the transmission. There are 2 sort of tie rod joints above the shifter and that is how I assumed it was adjusted.
