Default KQ work ethics

Coming from a Grizzly,(which I thought was a Great quad)I also looked at the Cat 650.I heard ALOT of problems about the belt drive being VERY high maintenance, limp mode problem, and not starting to good in the cold.I went with the KQ and I like it alot so far, other than the toy racks that are on it!The racks carry my Stihl 290 and my 180 just fine though!

I do agree about the racks being small. That is why I feel they based this quad more for sport than utility.

The racks bend easy and the powder coating falls off. Hope some aftermarket ones come out.

Hey JT........you need to get bigger saws! I made due with an 028 Super for years (excellent saw).......finally added a 440 Mag (aka 044) with mods - makes bigger piles of wood faster The Rubicon still gets to be the workhorse on my ranch......the KQ still has work immunity and only has to play when asked. I'm sure it would do at least as well as the Rubi pulling the wood trailer.........and as we both know - pulling a good load of wood through the woods will REALLY work a quad!

You are still around,I thought maybe you got the KQ stuck or something cause I haven't seen you post in a while? On the chainsaw thing, every Stihl over a 290 is big $$$$,and you know as well as I do that I'm to cheap for that!!LOLThat's one of the reasons I got the KQ from the same place you did!!Cheapest around and great people! Now put that KQ to work, just cause it looks so good doesn't mean ya can't make it grunt a little! How many miles ya got now?I've got like 60 or so.I will be plowing snow tommorrow for the 1st time with my 60" County plow.Puttin ole Yella to work again!

Yep.....still around although I get pretty scarce during hunting season. Took a couple of dandy bucks with bow and gun plus a nice bear with the bow in northern WI and a fall turkey also with the bow(11" beard and 1 3/8" spurs)......SMOKIN! I haven't looked at the odometer on the KQ lately, but I changed the oil/filter a few weeks back when it hit 50 miles. The Rubi is getting ridden more because of the work required......not ready to take the "pretty" KQ through the brairs to drag out old mossy horned bucks and felled timber. The Rubi loves hard work, doesn't mind a few more scratches and feels like putting on an old shoe when I jump on it.

What brand of plow do you have? I previously owned a 2000 Suzuki LT500 w/a Moose brand plow. (Like your Rubi..my old quad fit like a glove...hated to see it go...but LOVE the KING!) Moose is taking their sweet time about making a mounting plate for the KING. It looks as if I'm gonna have to invest in what ever brand is available, and be stuck w/a really good/heavy plow that will only be good for gathering rust as I will have no way to mount it.

JTGRIZZLE???

How are you going to plow snow with your 60 inch Cycle Country Plow when the dont have plow mounts out for the King Quad yet?

I ask because I have a new KQ AND a CC 60 inch plow but as of YESTERDAY,they still did'nt have a plow mount ready for a KQ.How'd you get a mount to fit the 60 inch CC?

Bill

The plow mounts for American Eagle Plows have been coming out since last week. They are made in Isanti,MN,about 40 miles from me.The plow is a 60" American Eagle brand County plow with the tapered blade.CMP in Cambridge,MN makes the Moose Plow if I remember correctly. They are only 30 miles from me.I don't know the situation on there mount though? So,yes I will be plowing a little bit of snow today with my KQ.
