I just ordered a kehein pwk39 carb for my 89 lt500 it has a paul turner eliminator port job, milled head ,paul tuner pipe with fatboy silencer,boyseen reeds, I run it with a uni fillter in the stock box with no lid with the stock 38 carb it runs great.Im wonder what main jet,pilot jet,needle and needle position,just trying to get a base line to start at with the new carb.It was ordered specific for the lt500 just dont want to start out to lean.Thanks Jason

 

If you ordered specific for the 500 they will provide a base line jet. if you are nervous just up the size of whatever they give you bye 3 or 4 and work your way down... (i know this won't be close just an exaple) your given a 260... buy 268 or 270.

But depending on where you ordered it from it should be jetted generically across the board... i.e. it'll work at sea level through 5-6 thousand feet or maybe more.

 

Hey Dirtdoctor, who did you order the carb from? did they give you a jetting spec because i have a paul turnner pipe and 39pwk carb but i need jetting specs to get it going!
