hard to pull in clutch

I have a 2003 z400 and i had to tear the motor apart because i cracked the case and ever since my clutch has been harder to pull in does anyone know why this is?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

did you accidently tighten the cable?

im not that good at fixing bikes but the first thing i would do is loosen the cable a bit and see if that helps.
